We are committed to helping people discover, develop and deploy their gifts for God.

The House of Hope Macon is totally committed to helping people to “Live Better: God. Every Day. Every Way.” If you’re looking for a loving spiritual family to help you grow in your faith, we invite you to The House of Hope Macon.

Our Pastor

Rev. Dr. J.C. Howard

Born August 9, in the small city and state of Wilmington, Delaware, J.C. Howard realized from a young age he was destined to serve in the Lord’s church. Having served faithfully in many capacities before accepting his call to the preaching ministry, in 2007 James was licensed in ministry by the Cathedral of Fresh Fire, Reverend Emma L. Creamer, Senior Pastor.

Reverend Howard went on to graduate with honors from the world-renown Morehouse College (2009), in Atlanta Georgia, double majoring in Religion and History. He served as a Martin Luther King Jr., International Chapel Assistants and was inducted into the prestigious MLK Jr. Morehouse Board of Preachers in 2017. Dr. Howard served as Youth Pastor of Gospel Tabernacle Church, in Atlanta, GA during his college matriculation, where Bishop Wiley Jackson is the Senior Pastor.

In May of 2012, J.C. graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary where he received his Master of Divinity degree.  After serving faithfully as Youth and Young Adult Pastor of Mount Bethel Ministries in Fort Lauderdale, FL for three years, Howard was called to the Senior Pastorate of the St. Ruth Missionary Baptist Church in Dania Beach, FL in February of 2016 until November 2018.  Howard’s journey shifted back to Georgia where he was called and now serves as the proud Lead Pastor of the House of Hope Macon. Most recently Howard earned his Doctor of Divinity Degree from Emory University in May of 2020.  Howard is also a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

In the year 2023, Dr. Howard married the love of his life, Lady April Howard and together they nurture and parent four wonderful children.  Reverend Howard strives daily to grow as a Christian, as a man, father, and servant of humanity and to daily obey the voice of God and the Word of God.
